The Supply and Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the purchasing, inventory, warehousing and distribution functions of NZ HVAC Supplies Ltd. The role ensures that HVAC materials and products are sourced, stored and delivered efficiently while meeting customer requirements and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement purchasing, storage and distribution plans and procedures.
•    Maintain optimal stock levels to support production and customer demand while minimising costs.
•    Negotiate with suppliers to achieve quality, price and delivery objectives.
•    Monitor inventory levels and oversee warehouse operations to ensure accurate stock control.
•    Track the movement of raw materials and finished HVAC products using inventory management systems.
•    Ensure timely re-ordering and replenishment of stock.
•    Coordinate transportation and distribution activities throughout New Zealand.
•    Liaise with sales, production, suppliers and customers regarding supply and delivery requirements.
•    Oversee purchasing, inventory and distribution records and prepare operational reports.
•    Supervise warehouse and logistics staff, allocating duties and monitoring performance.
•    Ensure products and services are delivered in accordance with customer expectations.
•    Promote workplace health and safety, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Analyse sales forecasts and historical usage trends to support procurement and inventory planning.
•    Identify and implement supply chain improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
•    Evaluate and manage risks related to supplier performance, stock shortages and delivery delays.
•    Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, inventory turnover, procurement costs and distribution outcomes to management.
•    Support business growth by developing scalable supply chain processes and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, transport providers and trading partners.

 

Skills and Experience
•    2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in any supervisor or manager role. 
•    Tertiary qualification in Business, Management or any.
•    Knowledge of procurement, inventory and logistics management.
•    Strong leadership and team management abilities.
•    Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills. 
•    Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
