We're looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our client's exciting new Auckland operation. If you've worked in a steel warehouse environment, and take pride in doing things safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you. If you are certified and have experience with overhead gantry cranes that will be an advantage!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Safely operating forklifts (and where needed overhead gantry cranes) to load, unload, and move steel products in the store.
  • Preparing orders for dispatch and receipting stock in and out of the store, ensuring also accurately tracked in the online system.
  • Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe.
  • Working closely with the team while also being confident working independently when needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a steel warehouse environment. It can be a challenging product, so we want you to bring experience in this industry.
  • Confidence operating overhead gantry cranes. Having your gantry crane and slinging certificates with proven experience is a bonus.
  • A current forklift certificate, with experience operating also.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Safety is a huge priority in this workplace, so we expect a strong commitment to safety from you too. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing will also apply for this position.
