Maintenance Trade Assistant-Auckland

Maintenance Trade Assistant to join our Auckland maintenance team on a permanent afternoon shift roster from 2:00pm to 11:30pm. In this role, you will support the maintenance and reliability of plant and equipment, helping to maximise operational efficiency, productivity, and safety across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for plant and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
• Follow routine maintenance schedules and accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist production team members with operational and general support duties as required.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site safety, environmental, and quality standards.

About You:

• Previous experience in a maintenance or trade support role within an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with operations teams and adapt to changing maintenance priorities.
• Experience working with heavy equipment, including exposure to hydraulics, welding, and conveyor systems.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Current Forklift Licence.
• Knowledge and understanding of engineering and maintenance processes.
• Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
