Work Location: Auckland Region

Employment type: Full time (minimum 40 hours/per week, Monday to Sunday), Permanent role

Your pay: $35.00 per hour

We are seeking 2X concreters (commercial) to operate machinery in concrete placement and finishing activities on site, including large commercial projects.

Ideal candidate must have at least one year experience in construction industry.

You are required to:

·       Carry out concrete placement, levelling, finishing, and curing for commercial construction projects.

·       Operate a range of machinery and equipment, including laser screeds, power trowelling machines, and other tools used for floating, panning, finishing, and burnishing concrete.

·       Prepare work areas and surfaces before concrete pump truck pouring, ensuring correct set-out and site readiness.

·       Assist with concrete pours for projects and apply appropriate finishing techniques to achieve the required surface standard and project specifications.

·       Monitor the setting and curing process of concrete and respond to time-critical stages of the work.

·       Work with different concrete mixes and understand their application, consistency, and finishing requirements.

·       Carry out work on various slab types, including steel fibre slabs, combi-slabs, and post-tension slabs, in accordance with project requirements.

·       Check finished concrete surfaces for quality, level, alignment, and overall compliance with required standards.

·       Coordinate with pump operators and other workers to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.

·       Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment in good working order.

·       Follow workplace health and safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.

·       Keep the work area clean and safe during and after completion of concrete works.
