About the Role

Bring your allied health experience to the CAMHS Adolescent Team, supporting rangatahi aged 13 to 18 and their whānau across Tauranga. As an Allied Case Manager, you will undertake comprehensive therapeutic assessments, provide treatment interventions and coordinate care for young people experiencing a range of mental health needs, including acute and complex presentations. Your mahi will extend beyond the clinic, working alongside rangatahi and whānau in homes, schools and community settings to support recovery and wellbeing.

About the Team/Service/Location

Based in central Tauranga, the Adolescent Mental Health Team forms part of the wider Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Social Workers and Occupational Therapists work alongside Nurses, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and administrative colleagues to provide coordinated care for rangatahi and whānau. The team combines evidence-based therapeutic practice with trauma-informed and neuro-affirming approaches, while keeping whānau and community connections central to care. Supervision, professional development, academic teaching and student placements contribute to a culture where clinicians are supported to keep learning and developing their practice.

About You

You are an experienced Social Worker or Occupational Therapist who connects well with rangatahi and whānau. Calm and thoughtful when situations become complex, you bring sound clinical judgement, empathy and flexibility to your practice. You are comfortable working independently across clinical and community settings while valuing the different perspectives and expertise that come from working within a multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring:

• Current New Zealand registration and Annual Practicing Certificate as a Social Worker or Occupational Therapist, with Mental Health included within your scope of practice
• At least two years experience within a mental health setting
• Experience in mental health assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and care coordination
• Confidence working with rangatahi and whānau experiencing acute or complex mental health challenges
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming practice
• A youth-focused, whānau-inclusive and culturally safe approach to care
• Full NZ drivers licence
