We are seeking for several experienced Airconditioning & Refrigeration Mechanics to join our team. 

You will be paid an hourly rate of $28.00-$40 depending on your experience and skill level.

You will be working in Auckland. This role will be a permanent, full time position and will be guaranteed 30 hours of work per week from Monday to Saturday but can be up to 50 hours weekly.

Paid weekly, 4 weeks annual leave, Statutory holidays, Sick and bereavement leave. Opportunities to upskill. Candidates need to be able to start immediately and work lawfully in New Zealand

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

An air conditioning technician installs, maintains, and repairs cooling and ventilation systems in residential and commercial buildings

 

  •       Installation: Set up new air conditioning units and piping according to blueprints and manufacturer rules.
  •       Diagnostics: Find electrical or mechanical problems using specialized tools like multimeters and leak detectors.
  •       Repairs: Fix or replace broken parts, clean coils, clear drain lines, and handle refrigerant gases safely.
  •       Maintenance: Run routine system tests and preventive checks to ensure units work efficiently.
  •           Documentation: Keep clear logs of parts used, work completed, and customer service notes.
  •           Customer Service: Explain repair options and costs, and give advice on energy-saving upgrades.

  

The successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in related field or level 4 relevant skills certificate
  • Motivated, good work attitude and good communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Quality workmanship and eye for detail
  • Commitment to health and workplace safety
  • Able to pass health, drug and criminal checks if required
