Courier Driver

About the role

SBGS Limited is looking for a reliable Courier Driver to deliver goods and parcels to customers using a company van. You will be the face of our business on the road, so care with customers and their items matters.

Key tasks and responsibilities

•      Sort and sequence parcels and items for delivery

•      Load and unload the delivery van safely

•      Deliver goods, parcels and documents to customers' premises

•      Receive and process delivery orders and requests from customers

•      Collect signatures and any payments due on delivery

•      Issue and collect receipts for pick-ups and deliveries

•      Keep accurate records of items received and delivered

•      Keep the delivery van clean and report any maintenance or safety issues

Pay and hours

•      Pay rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

•      Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

•      Maximum hours: 40 hours per week

•      Days of work: Monday to Saturday [confirm shift start and finish times]

•      Pay is hourly – there is no commission, piece-rate or bonus component

Minimum requirements

•      A current, valid driver licence that allows you to drive a van in New Zealand

•      A New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) Level 1 qualification or equivalent

•      Relevant experience in delivery, courier or driving work will be preffered

•      Physically fit, with the ability to pick up, lift and carry heavy parcels and goods

•      Good time management and the ability to work independently on a delivery route

•      Good communication skills for dealing with customers

Commercial Cleaner

About the role

SBGS Limited is looking for a dependable Commercial Cleaner to clean commercial premises to a high standard using heavy-duty cleaning equipment. On-the-job training is provided.

Key tasks and responsibilities

•      Vacuum carpets, curtains and upholstered furniture

•      Clean, dust and polish furniture, fixtures and fittings

•      Remove rubbish and recyclable material, and empty bins and containers

•      Strip, re-wax and polish floors

•      Clean and disinfect bathroom and laundry fixtures, replenish supplies and report defective fixtures

•      Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other heavy-duty cleaning equipment to clean floors and work areas

•      Remove dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes and fixtures

•      Apply approved cleaning chemicals and solvents to remove stains and dirt, following safety instructions

•      Clean at height, including windows, ceilings and elevated surfaces, using appropriate safety equipment

•      Clean windows

•      Carry out pest control tasks at commercial premises

•      Comfortable working at heights (training and safety equipment provided)

•      A reliable, careful approach and attention to detail

•      Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
