Applicants must have a good understanding of agriculture gained through either relevant agricultural study or at least two years of practical work experience in an agricultural environment.

Key Tasks

·       Operating tractors and associated agricultural implements

·       Operating harvesting machinery

·       Operating sprayers and crop application machinery

·       Operating balers and other seasonal agricultural machinery

·       Following workplace health and safety procedures

·       Working safely around staff, vehicles, machinery and crops

·       Assisting with other machinery-related agricultural duties when required

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

·       Poven agricultural study; or

·       At least two years of work experience in agriculture

You will also need to:

·       Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn

·       Be reliable, punctual and hardworking

·       Have a genuine interest in agricultural machinery and farming operations

·       Be comfortable working outdoors and around machinery

·       Take instructions well and be willing to learn new skills

·       Have good attention to detail

·       Be safety-conscious

·       Work well independently and as part of a team

·       Be flexible during busy seasonal periods

·       Be willing to work additional hours, weekends or public holidays when required during peak periods

What We Offer

·       $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

·       Work based in Otago

·       Training in agricultural machinery operation
