Our client, a New Zealand-owned building services company delivering plumbing, drainage, gasfitting, electrical, mechanical and HVAC services nationwide, is looking for a Service Manager to lead their Dunedin plumbing service division.

About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll run the day-to-day operations of the Dunedin service business unit. You'll lead the service trades and office staff, and be accountable for profit targets and business development.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Own P&L performance, spotting opportunities and areas for improvement
- Grow domestic and structured service work, including pull-through work
- Support service contracts across the South Island
- Oversee quoting and pricing, following up to win work and protect margin
- Manage key accounts and make sure customer expectations are met
- Work with the service coordination team to maximise trades utilisation
- Collaborate with the Dunedin contracting teams to support the wider branch
- Lead hiring, development, performance and remuneration reviews (HR support available)
- Champion health and safety, including audits and critical risk management
Essential
- Proven experience in senior management, operational leadership or service management
- Strong commercial acumen, including P&L and budget management
- A track record in business development and revenue growth
- Proven people leadership and the ability to build a high-performing team
- Strong understanding of the plumbing and service industry
- Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills
- Full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence
- Certifying Plumber qualification (highly regarded)
- Gasfitting and/or Drainlaying qualifications
