The Opportunity
Kirimana is seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take a key role with an established electrical contractor delivering major projects.
This opportunity is suited to a seasoned Project Manager who has successfully delivered large, technically complex electrical packages within major commercial, industrial or infrastructure environments.
We are particularly interested in experience across projects such as airports, prisons, hospitals, major commercial developments, data centres, large industrial facilities and other high-value, multi-disciplinary projects where electrical works form a significant part of the overall programme.
Reporting to the New Zealand GM, you'll take ownership of project planning, performance and delivery, leading multiple teams and coordinating closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
You'll need a strong understanding of major electrical project delivery, combining technical electrical knowledge with commercial awareness, leadership and the ability to manage complex programmes and multiple stakeholders.
- Manage major electrical projects from contract award through construction, commissioning and handover
- Lead project programmes, procurement, resources, subcontractors and multiple site delivery teams
- Manage project financials, forecasting, cost control, variations, reporting and overall commercial performance
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors while providing clear leadership to project teams
- Maintain high standards across safety, quality, programme, technical compliance and commercial performance
An electrical qualification and EWRB registration are highly regarded, along with strong knowledge of electrical systems, New Zealand standards and regulations.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who has operated successfully in complex project environments and can demonstrate genuine ownership of major electrical delivery, rather than simply having worked as part of a large project team.
