About us
Become Wealth is a Christchurch and Auckland-based financial services firm, licensed as both a Financial Advice Provider and a Discretionary Investment Management Service. We help clients with investments, KiwiSaver, insurance, retirement planning and lending, and we're building long-term relationships through advice that genuinely fits each client's situation.

The role
You'll work alongside our Financial Advisers as a specialist support to the advice process, with a strong focus on mortgage and lending. About half the role is lending work, and the rest is advice preparation, investment administration and AML/CFT compliance.

What you'll do

  • Analyse client information — payslips, IR summaries, bank statements, self-employed financials, deposit evidence and property information — against lenders' credit and servicing policy
  • Prepare and submit home loan and investment property applications to main banks and non-bank lenders, including servicing and affordability calculations
  • Act as the day-to-day contact with bank BDMs and lender assessment teams, responding to conditions and managing applications through to settlement
  • Monitor fixed rate roll-offs and prepare refinance and repricing reviews
  • Conduct customer due diligence, including identity verification, source of wealth and funds enquiries, and customer risk rating under the AML/CFT Act
  • Prepare statements of advice and paraplanning using goal planning software
  • Administer client investment portfolios on the KiwiWRAP platform, including account setup and rebalancing to model portfolios
  • Maintain client records and workflow in our CRM, and prepare documentation for adviser meetings

Essential requirements

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), including the Residential Property Lending strand
  • At least two years' experience in a financial services support, paraplanning, mortgage administration or lending support role
  • Experience preparing and submitting mortgage applications and managing lender conditions through to settlement
  • Working knowledge of New Zealand financial services regulation, including AML/CFT customer due diligence
  • Experience preparing written advice documentation for review by a licensed adviser
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using a CRM

What we offer

  • Permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, based at either our Christchurch office or our Auckland office
  • Salary of $70,000–$85,000 depending on experience, plus KiwiSaver employer contributions
  • Training and ongoing professional development funded by us
  • A small, supportive team where your work makes a visible difference
