Production Operator

We are looking for motivated and safety-focused people to join New Zealand Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) as Production Operators. This is a great opportunity for people looking to build a long-term career in industry. No previous aluminium manufacturing experience is required. We provide full training and support, making this a great opportunity for people looking to start a new career or bring transferable skills from other industries. Reporting to Supervisors and Superintendents and working within a supportive production team, you will:

  • Work safely at all times and contribute to a strong safety culture
  • Operate fixed and mobile plant equipment
  • Complete manual operational tasks across production areas
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals

About You:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Successfully complete pre-employment medical and physical assessments
  • A full and current New Zealand driver's licence
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to undertake physical work in an industrial environment
  • Workshop, hands on work, manufacturing or industrial experience but not essential.
