About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Financial Analyst looking to take the next step in their career and expand their experience in strategic financial advisory and decision support.

This is more than a traditional management accounting role. You'll serve as a key support to the General Manager Finance and wider District Leadership Team, acting as a senior escalation point for complex financial matters and helping to drive consistency and excellence across the finance function. You'll lead financial modelling and scenario analysis, support budgeting and forecasting processes, contribute to externally focused financial reporting, and provide expert input into business cases, investment decisions, and service change initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
• Providing strategic financial advice to senior leaders and service managers.
• Supporting business cases, service redesign initiatives, investment decisions, and cost improvement programmes.
• Driving consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across financial management practices.
• Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing finance and business support team.

Building strong relationships across clinical, operational, and corporate services to achieve organisational outcomes.

About you

As an experienced finance professional, you'll bring strong commercial acumen, exceptional analytical capability, and the ability to influence decision-making across a complex environment.

• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, equivalent professional qualification, or currently working towards accreditation.
• Extensive experience in management accounting, finance business partnering, or a senior financial advisory role.
• Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, reporting, and analytical skills, with the ability to provide practical and evidence-based advice.
• Proven ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and provide leadership through expertise in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
