About the Role

As the Clinical Team Manager, you will provide clinical, professional, and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist community mental health and addiction services across the Kaipara region. Based in Dargaville, you will work in partnership with the Service Manager and Clinical Head of Department to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care while fostering a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence.

This is a rewarding leadership opportunity where you will balance strategic and operational responsibilities, including workforce development, service coordination, quality improvement, resource management, and stakeholder engagement. You will maintain a strong clinical presence within the team, coaching and mentoring staff while helping drive innovation, integration, and equitable outcomes for tangata whai ora and whānau.

About the Team/Service/Location

Kaipara Mental Health and Addictions Services provides specialist assessment, treatment and recovery-focused support to people experiencing mental health and addiction challenges across the Kaipara district. Our multidisciplinary team includes nursing, allied health and medical professionals who work collaboratively with whānau, iwi, primary care, community providers and partner agencies to deliver integrated, person-centred care.

About You

As an experienced health professional and people leader, you will be passionate about delivering high-quality mental health and addiction services and empowering teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

• New Zealand registered health professional with a current practising certificate and a relevant postgraduate qualification
• Extensive clinical experience, including a minimum of three years in a relevant specialty area and demonstrated leadership experience
• Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage operational performance, and foster a positive team culture
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety
