About The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for the role of Head of Department for Specialist Health Services for Older People (SHSOP) / Health in Aging (HIA) at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty.

Working in partnership with organizational, service and business leaders, the Head of Department will support the development and delivery of the Service Strategic Plan. Key priorities include ensuring access to high-quality specialist care, reducing health inequities, and improving outcomes for Māori in line with the goals of Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty.

The role provides leadership, coaching and support to medical colleagues within the SHSOP/HIA service and contributes to recruitment, professional reviews and practice development. A key focus will be ensuring Health in Aging services align with organizational goals and values while continuing to develop in response to the needs of the Bay of Plenty’s diverse and rapidly growing population.
