We need an experienced excavator operator with heavy truck driver licence. 

Ace Building, Plumbing & Drainage Services Ltd is growing our construction team and looking for 2 experienced Excavator Operators/Heavy Truck Drivers for permanent full-time work in Auckland.

The main focus of the role is excavator operation and earthworks, with Class 4 and Class 5 heavy truck driving also required.

The job

  • Operate excavators and other earthmoving machinery.
  • Carry out excavation, trenching, earthworks and site preparation.
  • Load and move soil, gravel, aggregate and construction materials.
  • Drive Class 4 and Class 5 heavy vehicles to transport materials, machinery and equipment.
  • Load and unload materials safely.
  • Complete daily vehicle and machinery checks.
  • Follow site health and safety and traffic management requirements.
  • Work safely around workers, machinery, vehicles and the public.

You will need

  • At least 3 years relevant excavator operating experience.
  • Proven construction, civil works or earthworks experience.
  • Class 4 and Class 5 NZ driver’s licence, or an equivalent overseas licence that can be converted to the required NZ licence.
  • Heavy vehicle driving experience.
  • Good understanding of safe excavation and machinery operation.
  • Reliable work ethic and ability to work both independently and within a team.

We offer

$35–$40 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Minimum 30 guaranteed hours per week.

Permanent full-time employment with work generally scheduled Monday to Saturday as required.

Location: Wider Auckland region
