Solid Plasterer

We need an experienced Plasterer to join the growing team based in Auckland region.  

This is a permanent, full-time role, with guaranteed 30 hours and up to 60 hour a week. Competitive pay rate from $30 to $50 depending on skills and experience, with tool allowance available. 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

• Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement, cement blocks and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness.
• Preparing corner beads and securing them in position.
• Fixing pre-cast cornices, panel moulding’s, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings.
• Covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds and smoothing them using wet brushes and sandpaper.
• Plumbing and straightening corners, angles and wall and ceiling surfaces.
• Creating decorative textures in finishing coats.
• Ancillary duties, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• A positive attitude to safety and quality.
• Ensure work is completed to the standard that requirements and that required for relevant warranties and guarantees.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements.
• Liaison with administration staff to ensure company procedures and policies are maintained.
• Ensuring any company equipment is kept in a clean and tidy condition, which will include washing as required.
• Completing and complying with relevant company procedures, policies and documents.
• Train and assist other staff members as needed.
• Such other duties may reasonably require.

• At least 2 years relevant work experience.
•  Skills on working with Power Tools.
• Capable to work at heights.
• A positive attitude to safety and quality.
