About Us

Supreme Kitchen is an Auckland-based cabinetry company specialising in customised kitchens, wardrobes and vanities. We work on a range of residential cabinetry projects and are looking for two dedicated Cabinet Makers to join our team.

About the Role

As a Cabinet Maker, you will be involved in the manufacture, assembly and installation of custom cabinetry. You will work from plans and specifications to produce high-quality kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanities and other fitted cabinetry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, plans and job specifications.
  • Measure, mark out, cut and shape timber, MDF, particle board and other cabinetry materials.
  • Manufacture and assemble kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanities and other custom cabinetry.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and accurately.
  • Fit and assemble cabinet components, panels, doors and other prepared parts.
  • Install and adjust hinges, drawers, shelves, handles and other cabinet hardware.
  • Check dimensions, alignment and finishes to ensure completed cabinetry meets specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to cabinetry during manufacturing and installation.
  • Assist with the installation of cabinetry at project sites where required.
  • Maintain tools, machinery and a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

 

What We Are Looking For

Applicants should have:

  • A relevant NZQCF Level 4 or higher qualification in cabinetmaking or joinery or carpentry or a related trade; OR
  • At least two years of relevant practical experience in cabinetmaking or joinery or simialr work. OR
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline, with strong learning ability and a willingness to develop practical cabinetry skills through on-the-job training.
  • Good attention to detail and workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A reliable and responsible attitude.
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness for workshop and installation work.
