About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers, and other electronic devices.

The role also involves assisting customers, selling accessories and technology products, managing repair parts and stock, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.

You will need to be comfortable working independently, taking responsibility during your shifts, and using your initiative to resolve technical and customer-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

 Devices Repairs & Diagnostics

  • Diagnose and repair Apple, Android, Gaming Console, and other electronic devices .
  • Repair mobile phones, iPads, tablets, laptops, computers, and other electronic devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults.
  • Carry out screen, battery, charging port, camera, speaker, microphone, and other component replacements.
  • Perform software installation, updates, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Use appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools to identify technical faults.
  • Test repaired devices and replacement components to ensure they are functioning correctly for water damage devices.
  • Assess damage and determine appropriate repair solutions and costs.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship while completing repairs efficiently and accurately for Micro Solidering and PCB Board Repairs.

Customer Service

  • Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Explain repair options, costs, timeframes, warranties, and services clearly to customers.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and provide practical technical advice.
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Build positive and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Ensure every customer receives a high standard of service and support.

Sales & Product Support

  • Sell mobile phone accessories, screen protectors, chargers, cases, cables, and other technology products.
  • Install screen protectors professionally.
  • Assist customers in selecting products suitable for their needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, features, warranties, and compatibility.
  • Communicate promotions and new products to customers.
  • Ensure products are correctly displayed, priced, and presented in-store.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer satisfaction.

Stock & Parts Management

  • Order replacement parts and accessories when required.
  • Receive and check incoming stock for correct models, specifications, and quantities.
  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
  • Monitor stock levels and place supplier orders when necessary.
  • Ensure repair parts and accessories are stored safely and appropriately.
  • Complete relevant repair, stock, and product documentation.

Store Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and professional store environment.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Keep repair tools and equipment clean, organised, and maintained.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures where required.
  • Take responsibility for assigned duties and store operations during shifts.
  • Work independently when required and demonstrate good judgement.
  • Support other team members and contribute to a positive workplace environment.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant Level 4 or higher qualification in electronics, telecommunications, information technology, computer technology, or a related field; OR  Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience
  • Relevant practical experience in mobile phone, computer, electronics, or similar device repairs.
  • Experience repairing Apple and Android devices.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Good knowledge of mobile phones, tablets, computers, and electronic devices.
  • Experience with PCB/component-level repair would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong time-management and organisational skills.
  • A reliable, responsible, and professional attitude.
