Excavator Operator

JATT1 LTD T/A Complete Garden Solutions is seeking Excavator Operator to join our team in the Auckland region. This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent work and opportunities to grow within the company.

Job Duties

• Operate excavators to excavate,move,load,andspreadearth,soil, rock, rubble, and other materials on construction and civil works sites.
•  Prepare and position excavators for safe and efficient operation in accordance with site plans and project requirements.
• Performtrenching,foundationexcavation,drainageworks,bulkearthworks,site clearance, and land development activities.
• Select, fit, operate, and remove excavator attachments such as buckets, augers, hydraulic hammers, rock breakers, and grabs.
• Operatemachinecontrolstodig,level,compact,backfill,andshapeground surfaces to specified levels and tolerances.
• Readandinterpretsiteplans,drawings,markers,andverbalinstructionsto complete excavation works accurately.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust controls to regulate pressure,speed, and operational efficiency while maintaining site safety.
• Load excavated materials onto trucks and relocate materials within the construction site as required.
• Conductdailypre-start inspectionsandidentify,report,andrecordany mechanical faults or safety issues.
• Perform routine servicing, lubrication,cleaning,refuelling,andminor maintenance of excavators and associated equipment.
• Workcloselywithsupervisors,spotters,truckdrivers,andothersitepersonnelto ensure safe excavation operations.
• Followallworkplacehealthandsafetyprocedures,environmentalregulations, and company policies while operating machinery
