Our client, New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter (NZAS), is undertaking a major project to rebuild and replace its Carbon Bake Furnaces at Tiwai Aluminium Smelter, just 20 minutes from Invercargill.
We are looking for hardworking Industrial Labourers to join the team and work on this long-term project.

The work will involve the demolition and removal of old flues, along with assisting with the rebuild and installation of the new ones. This is hands-on, physical work and a great opportunity to gain valuable industrial experience and new skills.

What we’re looking for
You don’t necessarily need extensive industrial experience. We’re looking for people with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.

Ideally, you will have:
  • Brick or block laying experience, although this is an advantage rather than essential
  • A strong focus on Health and Safety
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work
  • The ability to work in an environment that can, at times, be hot and dusty. Appropriate PPE will be provided
  • A positive attitude and a proven ability to work constructively as part of a team
  • Great references and a consistent work history
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • The ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and physical assessment
  • The ability to meet the site's pre-employment requirements, including criminal history checks
