About the Company Our client is a well-established New Zealand infrastructure company specialising in civil construction, regional asset maintenance and water infrastructure. They are seeking experienced road-maintenance professionals to join their operations across Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and cyclic road maintenance activities, including patching, pothole repair, drainage clearing, and vegetation control
  • Operate and/or assist with heavy machinery and maintenance trucks as required
  • Conduct road inspections and identify defects or hazards requiring attention
  • Perform pavement, chipseal, or asphalt repair work as directed
  • Set up and maintain traffic management controls around live traffic sites
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and site-specific safety plans
  • Respond to emergency callouts, including outside standard working hours
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working order and report faults promptly
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members, following instructions accurately
