Night Shift Team Leader Role At Heartland Potato Chips

Stafford is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Heartland Potato Chips, a South Canterbury success story turning locally grown potatoes into seriously good chips. They are looking for a Night Shift Team Leader to become an important part of their production team.

This is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up, lead-by-example role for someone who enjoys being part of the action, solving problems, supporting teammates, and stepping into different roles when needed. Think of yourself as the person who keeps the team together when things get a little crunchy.

You will learn the key jobs throughout the factory so you can:

  • Step into critical roles when team members are away
  • Support production when extra hands are needed
  • Make practical decisions and solve problems on the go
  • Keep communication flowing across the shift
  • Lead through action
  • Be the person others can count on when things get busy

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has food manufacturing, food handling, production or process experience (desirable)
  • Is physically fit and comfortable with long periods of standing, walking and climbing stairs
  • Can handle some manual lifting as part of the role
  • Is practical, hands-on and able to think on their feet
  • Has strong communication skills and works well with others
  • Enjoys being part of a collaborative team
  • Can commit to permanent night shift hours
  • Takes ownership, shows initiative and is happy to step up when required

The Shift:

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 3.00 pm to 3.00 am
