Class 5 Truck Drivers

NZ Tipper & Haulage Limited is a transport company providing dependable and efficient freight transportation services. We are seeking reliable Class-5 Truck Drivers to join our team in Auckland and support the safe and timely movement of freight.

The position involves travel throughout the Auckland Region and to other nearby regions as required to carry out work duties. All work-related travel and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.

Job Duties include -
• Operate the allocated Tipper or freight truck on designated routes in line with business and operational requirements.
• Inspect loads before each trip to ensure they are properly secured, safe, and in suitable condition for transportation.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures during the loading, unloading, and transportation of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of goods transported and verify delivery documents and invoices.
• Plan and arrange appropriate delivery routes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and
within required timeframes.
• Carry out scheduled deliveries and collect goods as required.
• Keep accurate records of driving hours, required rest breaks, distances travelled, and fuel
and toll expenses.
• Use fuel-efficient driving techniques to minimise fuel consumption and support efficient
operations.
• Check the vehicle and equipment for faults or issues and promptly report any maintenance requirements.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to the business as soon as they occur.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the vehicle and equipment, including
regularly cleaning windows, windscreens, and mirrors and keeping the interior clean and
free from rubbish.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.

Other important requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience.
• Must hold a valid and clean New Zealand Truck Driver License (Class 5) or an equivalent
overseas heavy Truck licence.
• A dangerous goods endorsement is highly preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and during the required working hours as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Physically fit and able to perform the duties and physical requirements of the role.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliable, hardworking, and committed to completing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Able to pass the (MOJ) criminal record check.
