Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods from one location to another.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
  • Load items onto the delivery vehicle in a secure and organized manner.
  • Unload items at the designated delivery location, taking care to handle packages appropriately.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Utilize navigation tools or GPS devices to find the most optimal paths.
  • Confirm the accurate delivery of items to the designated recipients.
  • Obtain required signatures, take photos, or use electronic systems to verify deliveries.
  • Provide basic information about delivered items and address customer inquiries professionally.
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate channels.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including addresses delivery times, and any incidents encountered.
  • Complete required paperwork or digital documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to industry regulations and safety standards, especially when transporting hazardous materials or sensitive goods.
  • Prioritize safety by following company policies and guidelines, both on the road and during deliveries.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Check ROC, COF, and registration weekly.

Further Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license OR equivalent overseas license
  • Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading items.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Familiarity with navigation tools and GPS devices.
