About the Role 

ExtraStaff are seeking experienced Class 5 Civil Drivers to join our talent pool for current and upcoming civil construction projects across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. 

We are looking for skilled drivers with proven truck and trailer experience who are confident operating in quarry, earthworks, and civil construction environments. Opportunities are available with established contractors as the civil season ramps up. 

 

What We're Looking For 

Full Class 5 Licence 

Proven truck and trailer experience 

Quarrie experience highly advantageous  

Road Ranger gearbox experience 

Tipper truck experience, with spreading experience advantageous 

Ability to safely jack-knife trailers when required 

Reliable transport and strong work ethic 

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety 

 

 

Requirements 

Full Class 5 Drivers Licence 

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test 

Physically fit and capable of working in civil construction environments 

Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand 

Previous civil, quarry, or bulk haulage experience preferred
