BARBER – FULL-TIME

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional men's barbering and haircutting services
- Consult with clients regarding haircut styles and provide professional recommendations
- Perform men's haircuts using scissors, clippers and trimmers
- Perform skin fades, fades, tapers and other modern men's haircut styles
- Perform beard and facial hair trimming and shaping where required
- Shampoo and provide basic hair and scalp care
- Perform blow-drying and men's hair styling
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised workstation
- Clean, sanitise and maintain barbering tools and equipment
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Follow salon hygiene, safety and operational procedures
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience as a Barber or Men's Hairdresser
- Strong practical skills in men's haircutting and barbering
- Demonstrated experience with clippers, scissors, fades and tapering
- Ability to perform modern men's hairstyles with attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional attitude and commitment to high-quality service
- Experience in Asian men's barbering styles and hair textures

Barbering qualifications or relevant formal training are advantageous but not essential where the applicant can demonstrate appropriate professional experience and skills.

Employment Details

Position: Barber

- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 42.5 hours per week
- Working Days: Tuesday to Sunday, including weekends as required
- Typical Hours: 10:00am – 7:00pm
- Location: Rosedale, Auckland
- Pay Rate: NZD $30 – $32 per hour, depending on experience and skills
