Five Star Airconditioning & Ventilation Limited is a growing, well-established business specializing in the HVA industry. We are a friendly team of people dedicated in providing outstanding services and products.

We are looking for a Full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to work in Auckland region. Your Working hours will be a minimum of 30 hours to 40 hours from Monday to Friday (which include some weekends and public holidays, if required) as per the roaster.

 For this role your key responsibilities are

·       Assist in the design, layout, and optimization of mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems.

·       Read, interpret, and modify technical drawings, engineering plans and specifications.

·       Ensure all mechanical installations and engineering processes comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

·       Troubleshoot complex mechanical and system-level failures, providing effective and efficient technical solutions. 

·       Calculate exact material quantities, component costs, and labour requirements from technical drawings and project specifications for accurate quoting and budgeting.

·       Oversee and execute routine servicing, preventative maintenance programs

·       Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and work collaboratively with project managers, team members and support staff.

·       Maintain specialized tools, testing equipment and company vehicles in safe working condition.

·       Strictly adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and hazard management protocols.

Key requirements 

  •       Should have 2 years of relevant work experience or have at least Level 5 or higher qualification (Subject Area Flexible)
  •           Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, and safety standards
  •          Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  •          Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  •          Strong customer service and communication skills
  •          Reliable, self-motivated and team-oriented attitude
  •          Clean character background
  •          Zero Tolerance of alcohol and drugs in the workplace 

Salary can be negotiated as per your experience level between $30 to $36 per hour.
