The Opportunity

Kirimana is looking for experienced Civil Machine Operators for large civil construction projects across Auckland.

Our opportunities include working across a variety of civil projects, including subdivisions, earthworks, drainage, services and general civil construction. We're looking for experienced operators who are confident on machinery and understand how to work safely and efficiently across busy civil sites.

What We're Looking For

You'll work alongside experienced civil construction and services teams across large, complex projects.

  • Operating excavators and other heavy civil machinery across subdivisions, earthworks, drainage and general site works
  • Working around drainage crews, services and live utilities
  • Trenching, excavation, backfilling, site cuts and general earthworks
  • Operating machinery using GPS machine control systems where required
  • Carrying out daily machine checks and operating equipment safely
  • Working effectively alongside supervisors and wider civil crews
  • Ability to work confidently across different stages of civil construction projects
 
You'll need:

  • Minimum 2 years' civil construction experience in New Zealand
  • Current WTR endorsements
  • Class 2 & 4 licence preferred
  • Strong experience operating excavators and other heavy civil machinery
  • Experience working on subdivisions is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with GPS machine control systems is highly regarded
  • Good understanding of earthworks, drainage and general civil construction
  • Good understanding of site safety and civil construction environments
  • Strong work history and references that support your operating experience and standard of work
