As Store Manager, you will oversee the entire store, ensuring that each department has the resources it needs to deliver the exceptional shopping experience our customers deserve.

As a Store Manager, you will lead by example, tackling daily challenges. Along with supervising and guiding staff members, you will be responsible for prioritising tasks, addressing customer inquiries, managing staffing levels, ensuring store security, and upholding high standards of store presentation. This role requires a commitment of 30- 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
1. To manage the daily operations of the stores, including recruitment, scheduling, training, performance management, employee supervision, terminations, and roster planning.

2. Maintain store profits and all controllable expenses, including labour costs, inventory levels, and cash and inventory shortages.

3. Continuously monitor store appearance and staff performance and deal with any aspects that fall below store standards according to store guidelines.

4. Developing and executing purchasing and marketing strategies, as well as establishing pricing.

5. Marketing and publicising the organisation's products and services.

6. To maintain adequate stock levels, core product range and merchandising.

7. To ensure lawful compliance of Employment and Health & Safety Legislation at all times.

8. Negotiating supply and price agreements with suppliers.

9. Complete daily, weekly and monthly banking and turnover reports.

10. Preparing annual budgets and delivering store performance to meet the budget.

11. Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure stores are clean, adequately stocked, organised, and well-kept.

12. Selling products and services to customers while providing guidance on their usage.

13. Ensure stock takes are carried out as per company policy.

14. Maintain and enhance the performance of the store at all times.

  4. Problem solver and able to take action to enable solutions.
  5. Hands-on person. Physical role that involves standing and repetitive heavy lifting and does not mind getting hands dirty.
  6. Minimum New Zealand Diploma or higher qualification in Business or Management studies or a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
