National Logistics Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced National Logistics Operations Manager to lead a high-performing logistics and warehousing operation based near Auckland Airport.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving service excellence, and leading a team of approximately 50 employees. The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with a passion for creating efficient processes, developing teams, and delivering exceptional operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 50 team members across multiple sites
- Manage day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations to ensure service, quality, and productivity targets are achieved.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational priorities.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster a positive, safety-focused, and high-performance team culture.
About You
- Proven experience in a Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager, Distribution Manager, or Operations Manager role.
- Demonstrated success leading large operational teams of 40–50+ employees.
- Strong background in logistics, warehousing, distribution, supply chain, or fulfilment operations.
- Previous multisite experience is advantageous and willingness to travel as required.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on leadership style with a focus on delivering results.
