We are seeking four experienced Restaurant Managers to join a hospitality group operating across three food and beverage venues in Akaroa, Canterbury. These are permanent, full-time roles offering 32+ hours per week at $29–$35 per hour. The successful candidates will lead front-of-house operations, manage staff and service delivery, and work across a multi-venue operation.

We are seeking four Restaurant Managers to support front-of-house operations for a hospitality operation based in Akaroa, Canterbury, operating across three food and beverage venues. The roles are permanent and full-time, with a minimum of 32 hours guaranteed per week. Hours are worked on a rotating roster including weekends. Deployment across venues may be required from time to time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Training, supervising, and managing front-of-house staff in accordance with company policies
  • Preparing and managing staff rosters in line with bookings, events, and anticipated demand
  • Conducting pre-shift briefings and team meetings
  • Liaising with kitchen management regarding menu changes, service coordination, and group bookings
  • Overseeing reservation systems and booking management
  • Working to agreed sales, labour cost, COGS/stock and customer-experience targets
  • Weekly and monthly reporting against agreed KPIs
  • Monitoring customer feedback and implementing service improvements
  • Overseeing inventory control, ordering processes, and stock level monitoring
  • Ensuring compliance with cash handling, banking, health and safety, and food safety requirements
  • Staff training, coaching and performance development
  • Using and maintaining company operating, rostering and reporting systems

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification at Diploma level or overseas equivalent, or
  • At least three years of relevant hospitality and demonstrated supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or similar food and beverage environment
  • Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple venues as operationally required

Pay: $29.00 – $35.00 per hour
