  • Collaborate with chefs to develop menu plans
  • Plan and coordinate special events and functions
  • Manage procurement and set product prices in line with allocated budgets
  • Keep accurate stock level logs and financial transaction records
  • Guarantee dining premises meet health standards, remaining clean, operational and well-presented
  • Communicate with patrons to evaluate their feedback on food quality and service
  • Recruit, train and oversee front-of-house waiting staff and kitchen teams
  • Potentially handle bookings, welcome guests and support order-taking
  • Manage and oversee daily operations of a restaurant or similar venue to deliver food and catering services
  • Perform other reasonable work tasks assigned by the employer

More details about the position

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: 29.00- 34.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: Tuesday to Sunday (rosters may apply).
  • Hours per week: At least 32

Job Requirement

  • Applicants must have either a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, a relevant NZ diploma (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
