We are looking for Community Facilitators to join our team based in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
Guaranteed working hours of this role are 37.5 hours per week.
A Community Facilitator provides ongoing support, coaching and assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and head injuries.
The role will focus on ensuring these individuals receive tailored support and can make informed choices in their daily lives, working closely with and under the direction of their leader to empower individuals, build trust and meet their unique needs and goals.
Key accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct support and coaching
- Administer and coordinate medication
- Ensure health and wellbeing
- Manage financial and budgeting tasks
- Build and maintain trust and relationships
- Engage in continuous learning and development
- Advocate for safety
The right candidates need to demonstrate:
- 3-year relevant experience, or an NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Support Work (or similar)
- A valid international or NZ Driver's Licence (Restricted or Full)
- Multi-tasking and flexibility of working hours
- Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing.
