About the Role

We are seeking reliable, organised and conscientious Clinical Records Clerks to join our Facilities Administration team at Manukau Health Park.

This is an important role that supports our Clinical Services by ensuring patient records are delivered and collected on time daily from each of the Service areas. You will work as part of a small dedicated team responsible for the efficient management and movement of clinical records across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery and collection of patient information for clinical areas while maintaining privacy and confidentiality requirements
  • Tracking and scanning clinical records and ensuring their location is accurately recorded
  • Identifying and processing different types of clinical record documentation as required
  • Receipting, prioritising and processing routine and, unplanned and urgent requests for clinical records
  • Locating and retrieving clinical records and documents across the site for return to Middlemore or other sites
  • Keeping tracking and scanning information up to date and meeting required delivery and return deadlines

We currently have two fixed-term positions available:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Part-time: 20 hours per week

Both positions are 12-month fixed term, Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, and based at Manukau Health Park.

About You

This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, organised and takes pride in getting things right. You will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and working as part of a small supportive team. We are interested if you have:

  • Previous healthcare, medical records or clinical records experience
  • Previous customer service experience and a positive, helpful attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and having the ability to maintain accurate records
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and can manage your workload effectively
  • Good physical fitness, as the role involves delivering and collecting records across multiple buildings while manoeuvring fully loaded records trolleys
