Administrative Associate

We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Associate to join our team in Auckland and support the Quantum project. Working closely with workshop staff, operations and planning, you'll play an important role in coordinating administrative activities, managing documentation, maintaining accurate data and bookings, and supporting business operations in a fast-paced workshop environment.

This newly created 12-month contract opportunity offers exposure to manufacturing administration, ERP systems and planning support within a global organisation, with training provided to help you build your skills and career at Cummins.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide administrative and document support across the team and department.
  • Compile, verify, and enter data to support accurate reporting.
  • Manage workshop job opening and closing, invoicing, data entry and purchase orders.
  • Support front reception and respond to or redirect internal and external enquiries, including customer enquiries.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and departmental documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, visitor reception, and schedules.
  • Respond to or redirect internal and external enquiries.
  • Process supplier documentation and payment requests and assist with accounts payable enquiries.
  • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and records.
  • Support improvement initiatives, projects, and routine administrative activities.

External Qualifications and Competencies

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • A positive, easygoing and team-oriented approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships with workshop staff, customers and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with confidence managing routine administration and competing priorities
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to provide backup support across the team
  • Responsive customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced workshop environment.
  • Experience in administration, manufacturing support, inventory, logistics, parts, warehousing or planning will be well regarded
  • Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office Suite
  • ERP experience, ideally Movex or SAP, is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
  • Secondary education or equivalent experience
