Recruitment & Allocation Coordinator

Join a fast-paced, supportive Recruitment and Allocation team and play a vital role in supporting the future medical workforce across the Auckland region.

You’ll work closely with District services, clinicians, RMOs and consultants and candidates, providing expert administration across our full recruitment and allocation cycle. You’ll manage end-to-end RMO administration, work eligibility, database uploads, maintenance and a vast and varied range of day-to-day tasks.

About the Role

The Recruitment & Allocation Coordinator will provide high-quality recruitment, allocation, and employment administration services for Resident Medical Officers and training committees. The role is responsible for coordinating onboarding processes, supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records to enable effective workforce operations. This position is integral to delivering a professional and seamless experience for candidates and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment and allocation cycles for RMOs in line with national timelines.
  • Process onboarding documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage database administration
  • Ensure compliance with immigration, Medical Council registration, and health screening requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS and MCNZ systems and compile workforce reports.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, training committees, and external agencies.

  • Experience in high-volume administration or recruitment coordination. - it's a busy day every day!
  • Really strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi principles and commitment to cultural diversity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Taleo and HRIS systems is desirable.
