Mixed Animal Vet – New Zealand
Looking for a mixed role where you can become part of the local community and help a growing practice develop?
Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment is working with a practice in a smaller New Zealand country town, looking for a vet who wants to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
The role
The caseload is initially around 70% companion animal, alongside production animal work, with scope for the farm side to grow. You'll need to enjoy both aspects of mixed practice and be happy with a predominantly small animal workload initially.
You'll join a growing team, with support available within the clinic and from the main practice. There will be some sole-charge responsibility, so a few years' experience would be ideal. However, a new graduate with the right attitude and a strong willingness to learn will also be considered, with support arrangements discussed at interview.
Who would suit this opportunity?
- A mixed animal vet who enjoys companion animal and farm work.
- Someone who would embrace life in a smaller country town.
- A team player who enjoys getting to know clients and building community relationships.
- A vet looking for a long-term home with a practice willing to invest in their development.
- A veterinary degree eligible for registration in New Zealand and the ability to obtain a suitable work visa.
Support for your next move
The practice is keen to support your professional growth and can help with the work visa process. This is an opportunity to contribute to a developing team and help shape its future.
