We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team in Paeroa is a town in the Hauraki. You will prepare and cook meals to our menu and customer requirements, maintain food quality and presentation, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly during service.

About the role

  • Prepare and cook dishes in line with recipes, menu requirements and service needs
  • Check the quality of ingredients and finished dishes
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to maintain consistent quality
  • Portion and present meals to the required standard
  • Store food safely and follow food hygiene and health and safety requirements
  • Keep kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised
  • Communicate with the kitchen team about preparation and service requirements
  • Assist with stock checks and food supply orders, as required
  • 2 years' experience or level 4 qualification

About you

  • You have commercial kitchen experience or relevant cookery training
  • You can prepare and cook a range of meals consistently
  • You understand safe food handling and kitchen hygiene
  • You work well with others and stay organised during busy service
  • You are reliable and available to work on weekends and public holidays

  • Pay: $25 to $30 per hour
