About Azzuro: Situated on the stunning Mission Bay waterfront, Azzuro is renowned for its contemporary coastal dining experience, fresh flavours, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. We bring together passion for great food, exceptional service, and a vibrant dining environment right by the beach.

Location: Mission Bay, Auckland City

Pay Rate: $26–$28 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Minimum 30 per week.

Role Overview (per ANZSCO description):

  • Plan and organise the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.

  • Plan menus in consultation with the chef and kitchen staff.

  • Organise and manage special functions and events.

  • Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to the restaurant's budget.

  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions.

  • Ensure dining areas and restaurant facilities are clean, functional and appropriately presented.

  • Consult with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.

  • Select, train and supervise waiting and kitchen staff.

  • Plan staff rosters and coordinate staff duties to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor food and service quality to maintain the restaurant's standards.

  • Take reservations, greet guests and assist with orders when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Hotel Management or a related field OR

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in restaurant management or hospitality operations.

  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage restaurant operations efficiently during busy service periods.

  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage a team.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
