Restaurant Manager – The Wrap

Dindar Limited, trading as The Wrap, is seeking a Restaurant Manager for our Mediterranean and Turkish restaurant at 120 Grey Street, Gisborne 4010.

Position: Permanent, full-time.
Hours: A minimum of 30 paid working hours per week is guaranteed. Shifts are rostered and include evenings and weekends.
Pay: NZD $30.00-$35.00 per hour before tax, depending on relevant experience and skills.

Key responsibilities:
• Plan, organise and manage the restaurant's day-to-day operations and service standards.
• Organise staff rosters, supervise the team and assist with recruitment, induction and training.
• Manage stock levels, purchasing, supplier orders and inventory records.
• Monitor sales, operating costs and budgets, and oversee cash handling and daily reconciliations.
• Maintain customer service standards and handle enquiries, feedback and complaints.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to maintain product quality and efficient service.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and report equipment or maintenance needs.

Requirements:
• At least one year of relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Strong team leadership, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage customer service, staff rosters, stock and cash handling.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Availability to work rostered evening and weekend shifts.
