We are currently seeking Two motivated and reliable Fast-Food Cook to join our friendly and dynamic team.

Position Details

Position: Fast Food Cook
Location: Auckland Region, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time (minimum 30 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Rostered shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, public holidays, split shifts, and floating shifts. Applicants must be available to work weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking burgers according to REBURGER’s recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Preparing and cooking fries, sides, and other menu items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Preparing and serving beverages and ensuring orders are completed accurately.
  • Maintaining food preparation and storage areas in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements.
  • Following food safety procedures for handling, cooking, storing, and serving food.
  • Operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining equipment in good working condition.
  • Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system and processing customer payments accurately.
  • Monitoring stock levels, assisting with inventory control, and reporting shortages.
  • Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries in accordance with food safety requirements.
  • Completing daily and weekly cleaning schedules and maintaining a clean and organised workplace.
  • Following workplace health and safety, security and operational procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for customers and team members.
  • Maintaining appropriate personal hygiene and presentation while wearing the provided REBURGER uniform.
  • Managing online delivery orders received through Uber Eats and other food delivery platforms.
  • Ensuring orders are prepared accurately, packaged appropriately and ready for timely collection by delivery drivers.
  • Working effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely order preparation.
  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service and responding to customer enquiries regarding menu items and orders.

Skills and Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong focus on presentation and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude with the ability to learn quickly and work proactively
  • Basic English communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Basic mathematical skills for operating the cash register and handling transactions
  • Flexibility to work across all rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties
  • Ability to manually lift items weighing up to 25kg
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and customer service
