We are now looking for a Wine Club Manager to join our team at Nockie’s Palette in Queenstown.

Job Description

This role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing all Wine Club member enquiries, changes, payment issues and cancellations, and maintaining the member database for New Zealand and Australia

  • Developing and running membership acquisition, engagement and retention programmes, and proposing member offers to the General Manager

  • Writing content for member newsletters and email campaigns and working with the design team to deliver them

  • Analysing member and sales data to plan campaigns and reporting on membership and Wine Club sales

  • Planning and delivering regular member wine shipments, including member communication, packing coordination and courier arrangements

  • Forecasting shipment requirements and managing Wine Club inventory in New Zealand and Australia

  • Planning, budgeting and running Wine Club member events and wine events

  • Supervising, training and rostering the Wine Club team member

  • Hours per week: minimum 30 hours, maximum 55 hours per week

The successful applicant must have:

  • At least 8 years of experience in sales and customer service in a retail or hospitality environment, including at least 2 years in a cellar door or wine-related role

  • Any Level of certificate in International Wine Education

  • Previous experience supervising or leading staff

  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills

  • Availability to work some weekends and evenings for member events
