About the role

Ram Hospitality Limited is seeking a Food and Beverage Attendant to join the team at Crown Hotel & Pub in Geraldine. You will provide friendly, efficient food and beverage service to our hotel and pub customers.

Key tasks and responsibilities

•    Set and arrange tables before and during service

•    Greet customers and present menus and beverage lists

•    Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff

•    Serve food and beverages to customers

•    Open bottles and pour beverages

•    Clear tables and return dishes and cutlery to the kitchen

•    Remove empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refill and replace glasses

•    Collect payments and operate point of sale machines and cash registers

•    Recommend wines and other beverages to complement food, where appropriate

•    Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, bar areas, service stations and equipment

•    Stock Management: Refill beverages, restock service areas and report low stock levels

•    Teamwork: Coordinate with kitchen staff, chefs, supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth service

•    Guest Complaints: Handle customer concerns professionally and refer complex issues to supervisors

•    Health & Safety: Follow food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and responsible alcohol service requirements

Terms and conditions

•    Pay rate: $24.50 to $28.00 per hour

•    Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed, up to a maximum of 40 hours per week

•    Work schedule: Rostered shifts, including weekends [shift times to be confirmed]

•    Employment type: [Permanent, full-time, to be confirmed]

•    Location: Geraldine, Canterbury

Minimum requirements

•    At least 6 months of relevant experience as a food and beverage attendant, or a relevant New Zealand Register Level 2 qualification (mandatory)

•    Availability to work weekends
