We are in Wellington is looking for 1 full-time Chinese Cooks to join our progressive team.

Job Title: Chinese Cook

Location: Wellington 

Days required: Monday to Sunday on shift

Hours per week: 40 - 55 hours

Hourly rate: $26 - $30 depending on experience and skills

Vacancies: 1 positions

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine dishes are prepared to specifications. 

Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met.

Ensuring temperatures, seasonings and flavors are to specification.

Ensuring all foods are presented and served in a timely manner and in the correct sequence. 

Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet the company and statutory Health and Safety requirements.

Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.

Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu. 

Training new kitchen staff as required.

General kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties.

To be right for this role and our team, you need:

Minimum 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 qualification or above

Be fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.

Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.

Must be flexible to work late-night shifts and be able to manage two shifts in a day.

Full commitment is required.

Able to work under pressure.

Be reliable and responsible.

Working hard and healthy.

Be able to pass a police check.

No prior qualification/experience is required but must demonstrate that you have basic Chinese cuisine knowledge.
