We are looking for One full-time RESTAURANT MANAGER to join our growing company in the Wellington region. The shop opens seven days a week, Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 1 am, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 am to 5 am. 

 

Pay rate: minimum $28/hour - maximum $34/hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week: at least 30 hours per week, hours may adjust based on the workload, but the maximum working hours would be 50 hours.

The location of work will be within the Wellington Region

Requirements for the job:

  • This role is required to be able to work on weekends and cover late-nights shifts.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • 2 years relevant experience, or a level 5-6 relevant qualifcation or a Bachelor qualification in any field.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Long-term and full commitments are required.
  • Be able to pass a police check.

 

 

The duties include:

  • recruiting, training and supervising staff
  • agreeing and managing budgets
  • planning menus
  • Planning and organising functions according to customers’ needs
  • ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
  • promoting and marketing the business
  • overseeing stock levels
  • ordering supplies
  • producing staff rosters
  • handling customer enquiries and complaints
  • taking reservations
  • greeting and advising customers
  • problem solving
  • preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
  • keeping statistical and financial records
  • assessing and improving profitability
  • setting targets
  • handling administration and paperwork
  • liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales representatives etc.
  • discuss with customers about their satisfaction
  • making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
