Japanese Cook

We are looking for one full-time Japanese Cook to join their team in Auckland. Ideal candidate must have the followings:

2 years relevant experience or level 4 or above relevant qualification.

• Able to work on weekends and work overtime
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Have passion for the sushi and hospitality.
• Have excellent food hygiene and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the daily smooth operation of the sushi.
• Cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish.
• Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Ensure quality of sushi are always delivered at the highest standard and present to customers in a timely manner.
• Assist chefs in planning sushi menus and creating recipes.
• Assist with stock management, food cost control and monitoring of wastage
• Keep kitchen tidy and clean to meet health and hygiene regulations.
• Manage frozen and fresh food.
