Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, collaborating with professionals from various disciplines to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct functional assessments to determine whānau needs and develop individualised care plans
  • Implement occupational therapy interventions that support physical, spiritual, social, and environmental well-being
  • Foster whānau engagement in recovery-focused activities that promote independence and self-determination
  • Advocate for and support whānau in accessing community resources, employment, and social support services
  • Contribute to an innovative service model aimed at achieving WAIORA - flourishing individuals, whānau, and communities
  • Ensure adherence to best practice standards and maintain accurate documentation
 
About You
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant NZ registration
  • Passionate about whānau ora and supporting individuals to achieve their aspirations
  • Experience (or strong interest) in mental health and addiction services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse populations
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a collaborative, culturally inclusive team setting
  • Committed to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in occupational therapy
