We are seeking competent Cook to manage our kitchen based in Auckland and you will run our kitchen and want to be part of a team that values hospitality and exceptional food.

Minimum 30 hours to 40 hours per week from Monday to Sunday (12PM to 3AM) will be offered to the suitable for this role as per roaster.

The key deliverables of the role are.

·        Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients

·        Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment

·        Arrange food on plates or wrap takeaways

·        Assisting with maintaining food production supplies and materials.

·        Menu planning, preparing food cost reports and recommendation for the most cost-effective recipes.

·        Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables and other foods

·        Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers

·        Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes

·        Monitoring the quality of food taste and presentation of dishes.

·        Staff training and Health & safety and Hygiene matters within the kitchen.

·        Report and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures.

·        Ensure compliance obligations are met in relation to Food Hygiene

·        Innovation; bringing new ideas, creativity, techniques, and trends to the table.

·        Collaborate with the wider team, share ideas to contribute to the business growth and exceed customer experiences.

Job requirements:

·        Should have 1 year of relevant Kitchen work experience  or should have minimum of Level 4 Diploma qualification in Cookery or higher

·        Should have passion for Cooking

·        may work long hours and shift work that includes early mornings, evenings, public holidays and weekends

·        Willing to Learn and can bring their flavour.

·        You must be reliable and physically fit.

·        Zero tolerance of drugs at workplace.

·        Passion to train and mentor team members coming through the kitchen.
