Tell me about this role.
We’re seeking skilled Registered Theatre Nurses to join a dynamic Operating Theatre team with a key focus on supporting gynaecology surgeries. If you’re an RN with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in endoscopy, particularly assisting surgeons by holding the camera or you’re a Registered Nurse First Surgical Assistant (RNFSA) with a passion for gynae procedures, this could be the perfect role for you!
In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with surgeons to deliver safe, high-quality elective surgeries. The OR roster runs Monday to Saturday, offering a mix of shifts, plus some on-call duties. With 12 theatres, including an advanced Robotics programme, you’ll work across specialties like Orthopaedics/Spinal, Gynae, Urology, Plastics, Neurology, and ENT/ORL. Post-op care includes access to a High Dependency Unit (HDU) for comprehensive patient support.

What our client is looking for.
- You’re a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- You bring proven experience assisting surgeons in gynaecology surgeries, ideally with strong endoscopy skills.
- If you’re an RNFSA with a postgraduate certificate/diploma in surgical assisting and an Expert-level portfolio, that’s a bonus—but it’s not a must-have.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
